I believe that a level of professionalism and competence is needed for effectiveness within the teaching profession. Through planning, attention to detail, clear communication with students and parents, and organizational skills, I am able to accomplish all of the essential duties of a teacher and show up for my students and colleagues in a positive and helpful way. As an educator, I am committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism within the profession. I do this by advocating for student needs, seeking out collaboration with colleagues, designing instruction based on current educational research, and continuing to develop my content and pedagogical knowledge through professional development opportunities.
